I was in Nashville, Tennessee recently with the good folks from Hilton Honors. While I was there, I toured around many of their 22 hotel brands. With so many different offerings, there’s definitely something for every kind of traveler.

The last on the list, Autocamp, is one of Hilton’s most unique lodgings as guests can stay in either an Airstream or a luxury tent. Here’s my video tour of the Airstream.

While I was in town, Hilton Honors announced their global promotion: Double Points! It began on May 2 and lasts through September 2, 2024. So if you’re planning to stay in one of Hilton’s 7,500 hotels, I would take the 30 seconds to sign up. This promotion allows members to earn 2X Bonus Points on all Hilton stays but you have to register.

Full disclosure: Hilton paid for my flight and put me and other travel writers up in the Conrad Nashville (book here on Expedia or Booking.com). Conrad is one of their luxury brands and their Nashville property opened on June 29, 2022. It’s located in Midtown, not far from Music Row and has 234 rooms, including 24 suites, five wellness rooms, a large fitness center, three restaurants, a chic poolside retreat and 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

I didn’t have much time to spend in the hotel or hit the pool but the hotel does have a unique program, which I wanted to share details about.

The card left next to a brand new book in my room read: “BEDSIDE READING FROM CONRAD NASHVILLE. We know that even in today’s digital age, there is nothing like the feeling of turning the pages of your favorite book. Please enjoy the Bedside Reading books, which you are welcome to take home with you. We also have a selection of audiobooks, eBooks, and meditations that can be accessed by scanning the QR code below.”

As you can see from the photo above, my book was titled Daughter of a Promise by Jeanne McWilliams Blasberg.

In one of the suites I toured, they had a book titled Mary Whitcombe by Valerie Nifora.

Unfortunately, I’m not a huge reader of fiction but of course so many people are. As an avid reader, my wife would be absolutely thrilled. Before kids, she used to read 50 books a year and even now, squeezes in at least 25. A writer in our group was also an avid reader and was excited to discover CNN’s Fareed Zakaria’s new book Age of Revolutions in his room. Although guests are welcome to take the books home with them, I left mine for the next guest to enjoy.

Random observation: The Conrad Nashville has a 13^th, floor which you don’t see very often. One of the hotel employees told me 13 is a lucky number for them but I did notice they didn’t have a Room 1313. Staying on the 13^th floor will have to be more thoroughly explored in another story but as one writer put it, all high-rise hotels have a 13^th floor, it’s just that they decide to skip over it.
