Did you see this incredible video from Monday? A small plane from the San Francisco Bay Area ran out of fuel 253 miles northeast of Maui and had to ditch in the ocean. The 28-year-old pilot had a built-in parachute on his single-engine Cirrus SR-22 aircraft. The crew of a Coast Guard C-130 Hercules airplane recorded the whole thing and the Holland America Veendam cruise ship en route to Maui was nearby to help rescue the pilot who was in a raft.
