Many people like the Capital One travel credit cards for their flexible point redemption options. However, their airline and hotel transfer partners can also be worth using to get better travel deals. Unfortunately, the transfer ratios are weaker than competing programs but you now have access to 6 more Capital One 1:1 transfer partners.

New Capital One 1:1 Transfer Partners

Starting October 7, 2021, these airline loyalty programs are now offering a 1:1 transfer ratio:

  • Air Canada Aeroplan
  • Air France KLM Flying Blue
  • British Airways Avios
  • Emirates Skywards
  • Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
  • Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles

With these additions, there are now 15 1:1 Capital One transfer partners.

The other 1:1 partners are:

  • Aeromexico Club Premier
  • Avianca LifeMiles
  • Cathay Pacific Asia Miles
  • Choice Privileges (arriving later in 2021)
  • Etihad Guest
  • Finnair Plus
  • Qantas Frequent Flyer
  • TAP AirPortugal Miles & Go
  • Wyndham Rewards

Most of the partners are best for international flights to Europe and Latin America.

However, you might be able to book domestic award flights with alliance partners and the 2 hotel partners (Choice Privileges and Wyndham Rewards) can be worth using too.

For example, Singapore Airlines partners with United Airlines. Avianca LifeMiles can help you avoid fuel surcharges on premium cabin flights to Europe.

Remaining Capital One Transfer Partners

When the Capital One transfer program first launched, each partner either had a 2:1 or a 2:1.5 transfer ratio. This ratio isn’t as strong as the Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, or Citi ThankYou for many of the same partners.

In 2021, more partners now support 1:1 transfer partners, making the Capital One program more valuable to leisure and business travelers.

However, these partners continue to have a lower transfer ratio:

  • Accor Live Limitless (2:1)
  • EVA Infinity MileageLands (1.5:1)

Which Capital One Credit Cards Can Transfer Miles?

Consumers can transfer miles with the Venture card family. Business travelers can use the Spark Miles credit cards.

One benefit of the Capital One miles transfer program is that the bank’s travel credit cards without an annual fee can transfer miles too.

The transfer ratios are the same whether your card has an annual fee or not.

Summary

In conclusion, improving the transfer ratio for these airlines to a 1:1 rate makes the Capital One credit cards more competitive. However, it’s best to transfer Capital One miles to airlines for international flights. You might continue redeeming points for statement credits to reimburse domestic trips until the program can replace the absence of JetBlue.
