First class travel is exclusive for a reason—but few compare to the ultra-luxurious experience of Emirates First Class on Emirates Airlines. I had the chance to fly four flights in Emirates First Class in June, and they were definitely flights to remember! Upon boarding, you are given a premium glass of champagne in your beautiful and lavishly appointed first-class suite. In addition to bubbly, you can look forward to unparalleled service, delicious food, and modern technology.
Seats and Your Space
Wherever you are traveling to, it won’t be far enough to take advantage of everything that Emirates first class travel has to offer. In your very own suite, you will absolutely love the “zero gravity” recline option on your seat. It also transforms into a bed when you’re looking to get some shut-eye or rest without interruption.
But, if you simply want to relax in the most comfortable way possible while watching movies or playing interactive games, there is nothing better than the NASA-inspired zero-gravity recline option. Another feature passengers love is the temperature controls, mood lighting, and soft leather seating. You won’t have to ask for extra blankets when you can control the air yourself. Simply adjust to your desired climate and lighting, and you’ll arrive at your destination feeling fresh and ready to go.
Sleeping Arrangements
When you are ready to sleep, there is a convenient closet-like storage space for you to keep your belongings so you can stretch out in comfort. You’ll also find Hydra Active Microcapsule loungewear that is designed to keep your skin hydrated during the flight, and make your rest more comfortable. The pajamas feature Microcapsule Technology which locks in moisture, and the fabric releases nutrient-rich sea kelp to prevent dehydration and stimulate circulation. They come in a felt pouch along with an eye mask and slippers so you can take them home. Seriously one of the most comfortable pairs of airline pajamas I have ever worn!
Don’t forget to turn on night mode before you close your eyes. You’ll be treated to a starry night sky when you recline, before pulling down your eye mask to catch those much-needed Z’s. The small vanity is also a nice touch for whenever you need to freshen up after your nap or slumber.
If you require a bit more to feel invigorated, step onto the heated floor of the calming Shower Spa and enjoy a cleanse on board with Bvlgari toiletries. Once you’re done pampering, enjoy a detoxifying fresh juice to get the boost you need to feel ready for your arrival.
Dining in Emirates First Class
Just make sure not to sleep so much that you snooze through the dining service. Everyone who has enjoyed Emirates First Class has tasted the vivid flavors of regional menus prepared by award-winning chefs.
Meals are presented on Royal Doulton fine bone china with top-of-the-line cutlery to assure that each aspect of your dining experience is to perfection. To begin your luxurious dining experience, you will be handed an impressive sparkling glass of vintage 2006 Dom Perignon, or a prestigious Bordeaux wine, while you peruse the entrée options on the flight’s menu.
Main courses include healthy options like baked fish, hearty meat dishes, or a delightful vegetarian option of roasted vegetables. Before your meal, you will also be treated to appetizers and canapes including fine caviar. The knowledgeable staff will assist you in making a wine selection that perfectly complements the main dish of your choosing.
Emirates is certainly an airline that prides itself on its vast range of wines. Emirates employs a chief sommelier who carefully selects wines that pair best with in-flight meals. Each wine is expertly chosen to match the quality of your meal. The air is dryer during your flight, and your taste buds are less sensitive. A sommelier’s services are helpful.
If you want to quench your thirst with a non-alcoholic beverage, a bevy of options rests in your armrest. Water, sodas, and juice are only a stretch away for the duration of your flight. Otherwise, you can request complimentary beverages from the touch of your room service button. Alternatively, you can stretch your legs with a trip to the lounge.
Lounge
If you feel lonely during your flight, the A380 Onboard Lounges aboard the airplane is worth exploring. These lounges are a wonderful way to enhance your flight experience. Featuring a sleek ivory palette, and bronze and wood grain accents, you’ll enjoy the modern and elevated feel of the lounge in Emirates First Class.
In addition to calming LED mood lighting, the UAE’s national Ghaf tree embellishes the walls to make your journey unique. Both social and nicely appointed, the Onboard Lounge ensures an elite experience for its first class passengers. A bartender occupies the bar at all times. You can always indulge in a cocktail, snacks, or anything else you might desire.
There are also loveseat couches in the space. This is great if you want to chat with fellow passengers, catch up on events with the 55-inch TV, or read a magazine. You will feel like you’re in a hotel lobby instead of 40,000 feet up in the air.
And, of course, you can’t forget to take a shower!
Final Thoughts on Flying Emirates First Class
Between luxurious skincare to keep you hydrated, gourmet meals, exceptional champagne and wine, and all the comforts of home, Emirates First Class offers excellent service from beginning to end. When you land at your destination, you’ll arrive rested and refreshed. You will be taken from the airport to your hotel or accommodations with the complimentary Chauffeur-drive service.
No luxury is too small, and you will certainly appreciate every detail during your experience. But of course, it’s always extra fun with friends!
Consider using the best travel rewards credit cards to get you on your way to an Emirates first class experience. And if you’re really lucky, Emirates may feature your group on their YouTube channel and Facebook page!
Sure it is a good airline, but won’t fly, even as transit, where I could be arrested for having that champagne.
